While we’re waiting for the pandemic to pass and we can offer classes again, you can find us over in our Facebook Group, Stand Up Comedy with Pierre Brault.

Have you ever wanted to try your hand at Stand Up Comedy?

Has anyone asked you, “What are you, a comedian?”

Now you can answer with confidence, “Yeah!”

Pierre Brault is offering a 6-week program to introduce you to the world of Stand-Up Comedy at Absolute Comedy. Experience the thrill of performing a LIVE COMEDY set, right at Absolute.

This fun, relaxed, and informative course will cover all the basics of conceiving, writing, and performing a stand-up comedy set. From novices to amateurs to semi-pros, this class is for anyone who wants to experience the adrenaline rush of live performance.

We will cover…

  • Finding and creating your own original material and joke structure.
  • Developing a stage persona that reflects your unique character.
  • Overcoming stage fright and writers block.
  • Performance; What to expect up there.

…all in a relaxed and supportive atmosphere.

Whether to check it off your bucket list or in preparation for a full comedy career, this course will let you STAND UP, and be heard.

Taught by veteran Headliner, Ottawa’s own Pierre Brault.

Pierre is a true professional: funny and insightful. He knows his craft and does it with such ease, and is eager to share his experience with budding comics. I enrolled three times because I truly enjoyed the experience.” — RB

“Pierre’s comedy class is great! He makes stand-up accessible and helps each student find their unique point of view, build a six-minute set and get comfortable performing. I learned a lot from him and am proud of what he helped me learn and do.” — JB
